It can definitely be done. However you may need to modify the top cover slightly by drilling the threads to clear the bolt that goes through the shift lever. I don't recall the change points offhand, but the later levers using locating pins instead of the through bolt.jwolff said:One more question while I'm at it... someone recently told me that I can swap out the shift lever with one from a TR3, can someone verify that?
Another route if you are interested is to rebuild a TR3 top cover using the shift rails & forks from the TR4 cover.
