Help identifying carb set...

I have this set of HS2s that a friend of mine gave me. They were in a box of spares that came with his MGB  The set seems very complete to my untrained eye. They also have filters and filter housings (not pictured). The only markings I can find is AUC8114 on the dash pot knobs, and AUD followed by some indecipherable marks on floats.

Originally, I was gonna use this set to develop a fuel injection adapter for the early cars... but interest in that project seems very low, so I think I am going to sell them.

Can you guys give me an idea what car the carbs go on and what a fair price would be for them.

HS2 carb set, goes on 1275 A 40 engines. Prob others as well.

They look like spridget carbs to me.

I took another look... the carbs are marked AUC 871.

The manifold angle kind of looks mini like. Maybe just the way it's sitting.
Early HS2 with the rubber overflow tubes...
Sprites and B's are AUD Right?

1275 Austin Healey, Midget carbs with manifold and heat sheald and even the heat sheld support.

Of course it is Spridget. it goes to your A-40 engine which is 948, 1150, and 1275. Will fit on all of them but only came with the 1275.

The carbs are definitely angled. I thought Spridgets where a straight shot. Could they be Cooper S?

If they are mini Dont use them on a Sprite Midget unless you change manifold you will dimple your hood when the dampner cap hits. Seen it not pretty.

Intake Part number for Spridget with H2s is 12G1461 and looks just like the pic.

Do I get the prize?

Both the Spridget and Mini intakes are angled on the carb side, the Mini angle more upward than the Spridget, causing a causing a Mini's assembly on a Spridget to interfere under the hood. The rubber grommets that is sandwiched between the float bowl and carb body set the angle of the float bowls , which you want level to the ground. The Mini has a more drastic angle to save room in the engine bay. I'm terible with part numbers like the AUD numbers, but Joe Curto knows this stuff like the back of his hand, and if you need parts for them, he's also the man to talk to.

I'm leaning toward "Mini"- I've had several and they are short and angled.

Another two cents,
I believe the intake manifold, heat shield are from an in-line engine. The carburetters could be from "anything" that used HS2’s.
From S.U. books there were a few AUC numbers used with HS2’s. They almost always show as being from an early 948 (61/62) MKII sprite or MKI midget and Austin / Morris 848’s.
Morris's center picture looks like these carburetters’s had crankcase ventilation tubes. If so, they were cut and plugged.
Given that some of the later HS2’s float chamber lids had a pronounced raised edge around the topside of them, I’d guess this set to be 68-70ish. Without one of the alumn triangle tabs under a bolt on the float lid giving the AUD number who knows eh?

Why worry ..THERE SU'S
pop the top, check if there biased needles or not, Order a kit and call it good.
as for the manifold hap cleared up the angle thing.
Find them a home make them sing

Hehe, I have one here in front of me and it is just like that.
