I just installed a front seal in my 61 TR3 rear diff. and after I removed and replaced the nut and shims, I read that I might have messed up the rear end settings. I just thought all I had to do was remove the old seal and replace it with a new one. After reading some posts on this forum, it sounds like I was suppose to take some measurements etc. Does anyone know if I might have messed up the settings on the rear end or will the rear end be O.K.. I did replace the shims and tightened the castle nut, but I didn't take any measurements before or after. I don't want to burn up the bearings if I overtightened it. Any opinions.
