When testing my TPS I wanted to check the ground resistance.
I hooked 1 side to the ground wire on the TPS and one to a body ground to the engine.I'm showing .0021.
The question here is ,Is it OK not to be at 0.0 or does this show some point in the wire that it might be a little screwy between the switch and the computer to the ground.
Anything else I should test to verify?
 
Don, is that value supposedly in ohms? If so, I would say it's just fine, in fact it is lower than I would expect.

But generally only special purpose "Milliohm" meters will read that low, so I suspect that value is in kiloohms. If so, that would be 2.1 ohms, which is too high and likely would indicate some sort of wiring problem.
 
I think I read it on my 200k scale.

You should recheck then, using the lowest available ohms range. Just like analog meters, digital meters don't do well near the extreme edge of the range, particularly on ohms.
 
Yea, been out twice to do it and got side tracked both times.
