Well I'm not new to the British cars having owned a bunch from a non running tr2, bugeye sprite, running spitfire, mgb. Sold off everything but kept the tr2, owned it the longest at 9 years. Drove the rest of them for a bit a sold them off, too many cars not enough room. Fast forward a couple of years got my self into motorcycles, owned too many of them as well, but they took up more time then I had as well. Sold off most of them as well, but I had a goldwing left and was trying to sell it, when a great deal showed up that was too good to,pass. The guy was a body man, and wanted my last goldwing so in trade for the bike he would do all the bodywork and paint on my tr2. So for my my project this fall is too get my car emptied out and ready to go into the body shop. Have to pull the eng/trans and wiring harness out of the shell and start to get ready to finish it off now!
Once I have the big pieces out of the car, I'll be taking it into work with me, and I hope to have enough free time to rebuild the eng and check the trans out and get ready to go back into the car come spring time!
Well that the story of my car and a bit about me, well I'm from Calgary Alberta. Owned too many vechicles to remember, every thing from benzs, opels, volvos, bmws, gms, fords and my current ride is a jeep wrangler, and for the wife a landrover. I fix aircraft for a living so I do the regional jets and props planes for an airline. Chased planes for most of my career from northern canada all the way down to the Antarctica.

Hi Rubicon,

"Welcome" to the BCF. "THEE" very best LBC site anywhere.

Your story sounds very much like my exp. with cars & bikes! I've never kept a car much longer than 2yrs. There was always something that was avail. That I have'nt owned & wanted to try on for size. All were 2 seater roadsters & 99% of them LBCs. Jag E-Types were / are still my favorite with the TR3 second best.

Introduce Yourself & Your TR2 to the Triumph Forum & fire away with any questions, comments etc. You'll find a great bunch of knowledgable, friendly enthusiasts there.

Best Wishes with your TR.

Regards, Russ

PS: Post some pics as we all "LOVE" pics!
