Hi BCF!

I've been trolling this forum for awhile and finally decided to join. I've got an interest in british cars, so I'll be around. First things first, though, I've got a question about car sites.

My sister unbelievably does not know anything about cars, which proves I'm adopted once and for all. She doesn't want my advice really, but needs a new car. Where's the best site to send a total newbie to cars to get a good sense of what might be right for her..

KBB? Consumer reports? If anyone's got a suggestion where she could get lots of helpful information I'd appreciate it. She doesn't want to read about gear ratios and stuff like that..

Hi, Mike, and welcome to the party!

Wow! Don't quite know where to start concerning your sister's quest for a new car. Maybe cars.com? Pretty extensive site with cars for sale, reviews, etc.

Keep us posted on her progress.

Mickey

Wait until she's well and truly asleep, then just keep saying over and over: "Toyota...Toyota..."

...and welcome in from th' cold!

Welcome Mike!

Rather than try to determine which car, she should determine what features she wants in a car. 2 doors, 4 doors, and so on. What are her needs from a car? This will help to narrow the selection without shutting the door on any particular make. She'll have a better idea of what she is looking for. You can guide her but it will come across as "her" decision!
