Hello,
My name is Lisa and today we bought my dream car! A 1976 Triumph Spitfire! I learned to drive in a Spitfire and have always loved them, although I never thought to have one of my own. Found a great deal and Voila! I am now the proud new owner of a gorgeous little yellow dream

Only took me almost 30 years to get one

Hope to see more of everyone on here

Hi Lisa;
Comgrats on the Spitfire and on joining the best LBC forum on the 'net.
Head over to the Triumph forum and introduce yourself.
Plenty of good info and lots of friends.

Dave

Hi Lisa,

"Congrats" on your fine purchase. I`m sure you`ll enjoy driving around the mountains of CO. in your "New/Old" toy.

As Dave mentions here; Introduce yourself to the nice folks in the Triumph Section & "DON`T FORGET"; Post some pics of that "Yellow" Spit.

Enjoy yourself here as I`m sure you will.

Regards, Russ

Hi, Lisa, and welcome to the Forum. Lots of luck with your Spit!!

I'm am so excited about having this one! And I think we got a really good deal on it? Only 55,000 original miles, original paint, motor, etc, and everything works perfectly....very clean body (no rust at all) although the soft top and interior carpeting needs to be replaced, the seats, gauges, etc are in perfect condition. Garage stored for the last 25 years basically......picked it up for $2000 yesterday.

Here is the picture of it.

Hi There Lisa,

"Congrats"!! I`d say you made the "Buy of the Century"!!

The seller must have been "Blind, Crippled & Crazy" to sell that Spit for $2K!!!!!!

"MORE POWER TO YOU"!!

Enjoy,

Russ

Thanks Guys! I thought we got a great deal but since I haven't priced one out in decades, I really had no idea

It just had a tune up, fluids changed, etc. and has brand new ties on it so right now we are on a quest to replace the soft top....found a good deal on a brand new one and hope to have it ordered within the week.

And of course, the little beauty needs a "shelter" so we're putting in a canopy carport just for the Spit..hahaha. If cars can be spoiled, this one is definitely going to be!
