Hello MG forum from a new member

I did a short intro in the new member forum but I wanted to introduce myself on the MG forum. My name is Jon Helton and I live in Brandon, Fl. I have a 1974 MGB I picked up in 2003 and did a full restoration that we finished last year. I had a 79 Midget 13 years ago that I used as a daily driver for 4 years. I’ve had MGs off and on for ever but the B I have now is a keeper. This looks like a wonderful group and I am looking forward to finally be a contributor.

Welcome to the group, i am new to all this MG stuff and the folks at this forum are fantastic.

I am just over the bay in St Pete.
Between you and Doc (and your LBCs), Brandon is looking better and better!

Rob

oh, will you be heading over to clearwater on sunday? british car show.....

/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/savewave.gif Hi Jon!!!

Hadda come thru th' back door, then?!? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Have ya rid yerself of the GT bits-n-pieces yet?

It is sad to say but yes the GT is gone. I kept all the parts worth keeping then offered it to anyone willing to save it for free. The tub was just to rusty so off it went to LKQ.

Well, pieces of it will live on.

*shrug* We can't save ALL of 'em. At least now you've more GARAGE space! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Welcome...Sweet looking B...I had a 73 that looked almost exactly the same, but with a black stipe kit on the side....And not quite as "restored".

Fine lookin' car you've got there. Good job.

R.

Jon - welcome! Nice looking ride!

Another DCOE guy!

DCOE? Does that stand for Dripping Carburetor On Engine? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

Of course, with my latest experience, HIF stands for "Heavily Inundated Float /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Dripping Carbretor On *Exhaust*, actually... and YUP! You've no room to talk after that "overflow" incident. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif

"Mechanicsville" huh? Sounds prophetic.
