My name is Christian,
I do live in Germany and bought a TR 4 at year 1989.
After 6 month restauration the Arizona TR was ready to use.

I was a student at that time, studying civil engineering.

After some tuning over the years the car and the driver became too fast for public roads and before I start to collect fines I decided to start racing.

Since year 2004 I spend time on some European tracks.

Cheers
Chris

Glad to have you, Christian!

Yes, I'm a Friend of Triumph and you and I have e-mailed back-and forth some. I like the 1967 Formula 1 videos.

Hope Mark gets the DSL fixed!

I had the feel that I saw your name before.

I came here because a friend told me that they discuss some videos of mine and the statements were fun to read.

I am a fan of the Tony Drews video tapes. He is fast and can handle his car great!

Hi Christian: "WELCOME ABOARD"! I`m "Ukranian" by decent but born in "Hamburg"; Many, Many yrs. ago: I came to the US when I was 2yrs. old: Don`t remember much: What`s Hamburg like these days? What City in the US would Hamburg compare to? I have a `66 TR4A-IRS; Totally Orig. Car: I was thinking about Webers and was reading the Forum: Sounds like you are really Very Knowledgeable relative to the Performance of the Webers vs. SU`s: I believe I`m just going to stay with the Orig Carb Set-Up as I`m Not looking for Speed but the "Nastalgia" of Driving a True Classic:

Hi Russ,

thanks for your nice words.
Hamburg is a nice place to live. A real upperclass town. I never have been to USA but from what I saw on the TV showes I would compare it with old parts of Boston.

I changed over to Weber end of the 90ies because on the Nordschleife trackdays the SU float chamber mounting seal did fail several times from high rev vibration.

The SU carbs are very fine for street use and racing too but with >300 degree cam they get in trouble and the Weber take over.

Cheers
Chris
