Its in less than great shape and would need some work.
The photos are particularly poor. I'd want better ones and wouldn't be inclined to accept excuses. The lighting is very bad. The focus is poor. Apart from the close-up of the boot lid none of the areas of concern that show rust are closely viewed.
I often look at what the seller's bought and sold in the past to help screen for frauds- this one had bought a lot of women's wear (check out the belly dancing hip scarves- quite education, e-bay, sometimes) but then I found a few auto-related items.
I note they bought a wing in rather poor condition (auction item 4606777752); and if that was better than what's on the car I'd be very, very concerned.
Note too the guide prices from Practical Classics Magazine- poor- ÂŁ6.5K, average ÂŁ11K, excellent ÂŁ17K; though their site doesn't explain the definitions the print edition does.
It might be useful knowing who did the "body-off" restoration and what was done; and if the current owner was the one that either did the work or had it done.
If exported to the USA as a LHD car its been converted to RHD; and the car's serial number should tell you whether it was originally Left or right handed. The oil pan appears to be an alloy one, and it may have had some modifications too when the engine was rebuilt in 2003.
On the plus side its just passed its MOT (Jan., 2006 good til Jan. 2007) so the car's been inspected and is considered safe and roadworthy. This
MOT GUIDE explains what gets checked a little more fully.
The mileage given (2900) seems unbelievable. As others have noted there seems to be a lot of rust on the frame rails- particularly so for a car restored in the early 1990s and presumably garaged and lightly used since then; I'd expect some rust in Olde Englande but I'd expect to see some more of the paint too.
To venture an opinion: I'd say the bodywork appears to be in less than average condition and you can't see the mechanical bits to judge whether their condition is better, or not. With 10 hours left on the clock and the reserve not met I'm doubtful it'll sell. If its re-offered you might then have more time to get an inspection done- for this car, and that amount of money an inspection on the ground would be justified.
You could probably come over and drive it back to Denmark; having it transported would be rather expensive- I was quoted a cost ÂŁ500 for trucking a non-moving Healey from Eastern England to Scotland (400 miles).
