Hello forum members from sunny Florida although we've had a great amount of rain over the past couple of weeks. There is two classic cars that call my garage home. The first one I purchased after a long period of not having any cars to work on was my 1971 Triumph TR6. When I bought it locally I was told by the seller that it was all original and he'd put a lot of work into it. Well I bit that apple and bought it. It was not all original and had a replacement engine, and the paint was not the original color (Damson). I purchased it over 16 years ago and earlier in my ownership I replaced all the bushings in the front and rear end with polyurethane, installed a speed sleeve in the differential due to a leak and replace break calibers etc. About 5 years ago I discovered the dreaded dropped thrust washer bearings that TR's are notorious for and another car project took me away from the TR. I've decided this year that the TR will be restored and a frame off is underway. From the white color she has been, she will go back to Damson with a light color leather interior. I know it's not original for the interior but I like the look and since I've purchased another engine to rebuild and install which is a 1971 and not the original it doesn't matter to me. She will be a driver as they should be. My other antique car is being rebuilt as a show car. I'm on the other forums that cater to British Cars too, including the Six-Pack. I look forward to reading the posts and getting advise from everyone that are far more knowledgeable than me.
