I bought a 74 TR6 in Nov of last year on an impulse after my dad passed away, hoping I was getting a driver. Advertised as restored but turned out not so much. It looks nice and has all the original bits and some upgrades, but there are some gaps. Its turned out to be a project. Only somewhat sorry because I am enjoying the project and learning a lot about the car, the Triumph marque and the network (I have a couple of awesome local resources for parts and such. Good Parts and Triumph Rescue are both local to me). The day I roll it out of the garage for that first drive will be sweet. Knock on wood, LOL. Thanks for bringing me in, looking forward to the diversity of knowledge.

Bob - welcome to BCF.

"Advertised as restored but turned out not so much."

I think we've all experienced that at one time or another. The worst cases usually stem from buying something online, without ever checking it in person first.

You're a lucky guy to have good resources so near. When you're ready to ask questions - and share your successes - hop on over to our Triumph TR6 area.

Good to have you with us.
