Hello, been thinking of getting my MGA road worthy, or seller her, can't decide. But I'm looking around the net seeing what's going on with them. I got her 41yrs ago, at 18, drove her for about 6 months, and parked to restore. Didn't happen, but some work did. Rebuilt seats, new interior, so so paint, new wood floor panels, and in decent shape. Will have to get some recent pics, here's last time I moved her.

MGAs are cool cars and welcome to the forum ! I have a 62 that I'm fixing up over time , doesn't look in as good of shape as yours though. I'll be through Ocala in a few months and would love to stop in . Parts availability has never been better , I've restored a few. I'd be interested in buying it if you are at that point.

I'd really like to drive it again someday, have everything to finish her, plus a 2nd engine, and a few old wire wheels. Not sure where to start, she's been sitting in misery for 35+ years.

Killowatt,
That's pretty cool , hanging on to them like that. I always like to get a fresh "find" to roll easily at the very least, then get the engine to turn over and pump oil through itself. Then see if the engine will hold fluids. By then you'll have a better idea how much the old gal is going to realistically take in both time and money to put right again. If the engine turns over it and it was driving well when you parked it, you could have it on the road in two weeks , tops. I'm finishing a TC this winter and hope to start on the MGA again in the Spring. Best of luck with whatever you choose, you'll find a lot of help on this forum. The Healey and Triumph groups here are very active , the MG a bit less so but most of the members seem to surf a bit so if you have a question try posting it under the MG group and someone is sure to help!
Safety Fast!
Kevin
