Hello from central Texas! My name is Gus and I'm working on a 1959 AH Sprite which happens to be my 1st car as a teenager.

My Sprite was a northern car from Ohio, land of winter salt. So I've fashioned floor panels from raw sheet stock and bought the necessary body panels from Moss and Bugeye guys. I did leave as much of the original structure in place as possible mig welding patches and new bits and pieces in to make a solid body. All done on a homemade rotisserie.

Big project! welcome.

Hi from Temple! If you make it to Pistons on the Square in Georgetown (next one is July 20), you should find a small group of British car guys amongst the American iron. Most months we also do a scenic drive from the square to lunch somewhere, although August has no drive afterwards.

I've put it on my calendar. Looks like it begins around 8AM.

Yes, but if you're bringing a car to display, aim to get there around 7 or you may not get a spot on the square. If you show up on time, you're late! I got there at 8:05 last month and parked a block away.

If you're not displaying a car, then yes, we should all be in place by about 8am. Looking forward to meeting you!

Oops, I should have included the official link:

As you can see, it attracts a lot of photographers too -- including an annual photography festival!

Thanks, no car to display yet, it's in my garage still have a butch of body fill to apply along with primer and paint. I plan to be there though.
