Hello all! Just a short note to introduce myself. I'm a little late, but I just joined this wonderful forum. I'm very impressed with the threads here, and hope to learn, or help, whenever the need exists.
I have a '57 TR3 Small Mouth, which I bought upon retirement back in June of 2006. Drove her (Trumpy) for the summer and decided, that September that she needed a new water pump. From there and, "While I Was At It"...I'm still in the middle of a complete Frame-Up restoration. I've also been keeping a record of the restore on our website https://thecostafamily.net/triumph
I'm a baker by trade, so knew nothing about mechanics when I started all of this. Outside of most of the body work, I've been doing all of the work myself (with the help of my diesel mechanic son)...learning as I go. I still don't know that much about mechanics, but at least I'm at the stage where I'm having fun now.
Like Lavo, in the post before this one...I've been spending more time and money that was first planned. Now...hopefully...I'm coming to the end of this adventure and hope to get Trumpy up and running by the summer of 2013.
