Spitfire heelboard and floorpan replacement

I need to replace the heelboard and at least the rear section of the passenger side floorpan. I have no idea as to how to go about it. Are they spot welded in? How do you find the welds? Do I need to brace anything? etc, etc,

Any and all advice will be greatly appreciated.

A look at #8 in https://www.canleyclassics.com/?xht...html&category=bodyandfittings&xsl=diagram.xsl might give you some idea of where the various flanges are for the heelboard, which is where you'll find most of the spot welds. I suspect it's not the easiest panel on the car to replace!

The rear floor pan can be sectioned without too much difficulty if access is good and the rost is contained to the actual floor.
