Heavy hex nuts

The cylinder head and exhaust manifold nuts on my 1275 look about double the thickness of a standard nut.
Didnt see any at Lowes, anyone know wher I can get some?

You need to order the proper hardware from a specialist.

looks like the exhaust manifold nuts may be brass, in which case I can probably just reuse the old

Fred,

You need some new gaskets likely anyway. Order from MOSS or VB and the nuts you need won't add any more to the shipping charge. Go new with the nuts on the exhaust and do them in brass. There is an engineering reason Heat expansion/contraction and staying put I'm sure in addition to the fact you can remove down the road if you need to.
 
Header nuts are brass, reuse em.
