Any one put a Vintage Air Gen-II Heaters 506101 from Summit in their MGB?

171 $ for real heat seems a deal.

Gee, Jack! Long time no see!!

As far as the heater goes, the original unit should about cook you out of the car after a short while. If it isn't working well, there's got to be a restriction, either in the core or the control valve. Another reason could be the seals around the box itself, the "fresh air vent" seal, door seals, etc. Every MGB I've ever had would get warm enough in the cab to warrant dialing the valve back a bit after a short time. And that was in the Pennsylvania and Virginia winters.

Long time friend.

Yep old folks needed to trade up a bit. I think I will enjoy this MGBs. Is now in shop to remove rubber bumpers as well as some odds and ends. Saw the add for heaters and just wondered. Thanks for reply.

Jack, my stock heater in the B puts out lots of heat and should be more than adequate. That said, I’m installing a Vintage Air hvac system in my sons International Scout and I’m really impressed by the quality of the system as well as the tech support.

Guess I need to insure heater core is clean.
