Heater Valve Replacement

histerical, that's a good point. I'll likely try both methods, and compare, since it's an easy swap around.

But it's really cold out today; I need to wait for it to warm up a little outside. Ironic, isn't it?

Histerical has a good point. Since you are running with the heater on now just adding a valve to bypass it might be easiest. One has to remember that the heater core is a radiator that cools as well. I don't know how to do the grafics but I still think my plan would work best. Hope I got it across well enough. If you wanted to fit a cable operated heater valve in the line and then a separate manual operated line from the head fitting to a tapped in fitting on the thermostat housing that would probably be suffient.

Kurt.
