heater box mystery studs

So, where's the Smiths label that is pop riveted in the tiny holes?

[/ QUOTE ]

Safely stored in an envelope. It's a new label, which needs the numbers stamped before it gets pop riveted on. Details, details, details!!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hammer.gif

Cheers,
John

And where did you find a new lable? Supose it is the same one that belongs on a Sprite? I do have the numbers on the old metal plate but no paint for Smiths, etc remains.

Hi Jack,

Moss sells a repo label (and I'm sure others do too). The font and spacing are not the same as originals I've seen but it does fit the 3.2" hole spacing.

Cheers,
John

Oh very nice, appreciate. My box looks great now but for that darn label.

Is the label in the big Healey catalog, not in my Spriget one?

3 3/8" between rivit holes, 3 1/2" long, 13/16" high

Is that the same?

The 3 1/2" long, 13/16" high is right.

About 3 3/16" from the center of one hole to the center of the other hole ... not 3 3/8"

Cheers,
John

Yes, they seem to be the same, I misspoke.

Supose anyone can post a pic of it, the moss catalog is not too great.

I am so pleased to find this. really appreciate.

Hi Jlaird,
I got this image off the internet a while back, can’t remember the source. Looks new since there are no numbers in the blank spaces.

Ahh shucks, thats not it, close but no cigar.

Thanks for the help folks.

Your little Healey friend Miss Agatha.

The bottom label is the correct type for the Big Healeys and the one Greg shows looks to be very accurate according to photos of originals that I have. The blank that I bought from someone a few years ago is not nearly as accurate. If anyone else can name a source for a blank label that looks just like this, I'd appreciate it.
