Well of the jobs I want to do, all I got done was adjusting the door so it no longer scuffs the striker. Closes real nice now. But now I get a rather loud clunkk when I het a bump. HMM Anyway purpose of this post is,, it rained and was damp this weekend,,and driving this morning I turned on the heater fan, and closed the flaps in the foot wells, and hoped for the windshield to clear....Wow, almost nailed a cyclist, Than fan works but so little air comes out the defrost vents. Is there anyway to increase the efficiency of the blower or get better flow(1970 Midget). The flap on the intake pipe opens and closes with the dash rotary control and I had it open....
 
Is the fan running even?
 
First thing I checked Jack, The fan is working, I opened the Bonnet and checked, I also opened the flaps in the footwells and felt the air.
 
No one ever said they blow hard. As I remember it is not like a modern car at all, takes awile for things to happen.

I wonder if the fan is turning at speed even, new motors are available of course.

Lube the bearings carefully?
 
Could the fan be hooked up backwards?

Find a smoker, ask him to blow smoke at the heater vents when the fan is on, if the smoke gets sucked in, switch the wires at the motor.
 
Clogged heater coil? Bad seal under box?
 
Yea I bet, that heater core needs to be cleaned well.
 
well while I was waitng for your help (thanks Alot) on the carb, I looked at the heater. Yeah 2 months ago the heater rotary knob opened and closed the flap. My brother in las disconnected and reconnected while we were working on the car. He connected it wrong. It was NOT working, I fixed it, Now I GOT AIR this is GOOD. Only one thing left to do now and that is install the washer pump and bottle. Then I get to start all over again and find stuff to fix. HMM doesit evere end, I hope not, this is so much fun.!!
