Heart attack

I had no symptoms, but took a treadmill stress echocardiogram at the recommendation of my primary care doctor. That revealed I had almost complete blockage of one of my arteries (95%). The next day, I was in surgery getting a stent installed. Stayed in the hospital overnight then walked home the next day, about 4 blocks. All that to say, as you get older, it can't hurt to get things checked before the symptoms start showing.
I had to have a stress test just a year ago before that lung surgery and I passed it all right. Then just a year later a heart attack. Must be time to finally accept the fact that I an getting old.

Excellent information. Thanks for the update. Folks have to know the signs, don't ignore them. When in doubt 911. Assuming the majority of us LBC nutcases are "elderly" it is much needed info. Do not ignore symptoms!

Glad you made it through! Yikes.

I had a bit of a heart attack Thursday evening. dang thing kinda slipped up on me over a couple of weeks. Called 911 and went to ER. Got a stint and finally back home. This was on top of the Mrs who fell and broke her femur just a month ago. She is still in inpatient rehab.
Wishing you and your wife a fully and speedy recovery!

I'm not getting old but the guy on the license in the wallet in my pocket sure is!! :D

I noticed that at my high school reunion last year that there were
a lot of really old looking 18 year olds.
I went to one reunion in my long life, and it wasn't mine, but my sisters grammar school class.
Turns out there were kids from my class, I think they may have married into my class.
I hated being there and some of the people I did know hadn't aged a bit. Bastards.
