Healy Interior door latch removal - Help!

I am going nuts. I removed the passenger side interior door latch easily. All I did was knock out the pin and it slid right off.

Now I am working on the drivers side and have removed the pin. But it won't slide off!!!!!! I have pumped a couple of ounces of penetrating oil into it...then WD 40...and I have banged and pulled, but nothing seems to work.

I don't see any retaining clips or anything to explain this... has anyone ever experienced this...please advise.

Appreciate it.

Nevermind...I applied some liquid courage (Absolute on the rocks) and additional leverage and it popped off...I hate forcing things.

Thanks anyway. Case closed.

The fun part is getting them back in!!

You might want to take a look at earlier comments under "BJ7 - Removing door and window cranks". I think it's page 3 under Topics. There's a number of tips that will help with re-assembly. That's the frustrating part. Just remember that you're not alone, and Patience is the key. You can find it in 25 and 40 oz. bottles.

Cheers

The funny thing was it took me over an hour to put one back in, and about 30 seconds to do the other one!
