I'm going to be based in Auburn Hills MI for the next three weeks, any recommendations for Healey related things to do there on the weekend?

Andy.

TimK lives in Troy, I think, and I'm about an hour south, in Toledo.

You missed a good concours last weekend; formerly called Meadow Brook, now held at The Inn at St Johns (in Plymouth).

There are plenty of car-related things to do, maybe not so much that's strictly Healey oriented.

The local Healey club has a Pub Night each month, so you might have that timed right. https://www.semahc.com/

"The South east Michigan Austin Healey club meets at 7:00 PM every second Wednesday of the Month at Duggan's Pub on Woodward between 13 & 14 Mile Rd. in Royal Oak. Come join us for dinner and casual conversation."

Not Healey related, but the Woodward Dream Cruise is Saturday August 20. Not far from Auburn Hills. If you are in town that week. It is a Saturday event, but the cars are out on Woodward all week long, especially during the evenings. Wednesday and Thursday evenings are good time to be over there. Head down to 15 mile and Woodward area (Birmingham) and hang out along Woodward. Some decent places to eat in B'ham, including an Irish Pub on 15 mile just west of Woodward a ways on the north side. It's not bad. You will see a lot of classic American Muscle Cars, and perhaps the occasional Healey. Last year I saw a very nice black Bugeye, a couple of times. And, as Randy mentions, Duggan's is further down on Woodward between 13 and 14 mile. You can't get near that place during the Dream Cruise week on Friday or Saturday. You can not believe the number of classic cars (and people) on Woodward during those days. Cars driving and parked. Always makes me wonder where they all come from.
Google Woodward Dream Cruise. A real slice of Americana.

Randy- definitely keen to get in touch with Tim K. I'll see if I can get along to the Healey meet but as we are scheduled on for 10 hours/day on week days maybe I can't get away in time.

Dave- we were just talking about the Woodward cruise today, it sounds like a date. We were sitting outside of a cafe in Rochester this morning having lunch and I was amased at how much old tin was still rumbling by over here. Our local car enthusiasts are more interested in modern Japanese turbo blowoff valve firecrackers.

Cheers,
Andy.
