Healey Mk2 with Colored stock steering Wheel

Presently on ebay there is a fairly original MK2. The Steering Wheel is matching Blue. Hard to tell if actually painted, but assuming not, is it a known fact that some Healey's actually came from factory with colored Steering Wheels? See attached photo or look on ebay @ this link

That blue steering wheel is about as original as the yellow brake caliper. Look carefully at some of the dashboard pictures, looks like someone has painted it. Only color matched steering wheel I ever saw was on Goldie.

What is the best (black) paint to use on the wheel. I plan to try and fill the cracks, and would like to paint it the proper colour
