my bn6 came with a custom dash pad and a mirror mounted on the windshield. i was installing a new pad and dash mirror today....and not for the faint of heart. i opened the mirror shipped from a forum supplier and noticed that the screws to attach the mirror in place were chrome or stainless phillips head sheet metal screws. i always thought that the dash mirror used 10-32 fine thread. after checking the healey dash captive nuts they appeared to be for 10-32 fine thread bolts. anyone know for sure? i was able to chase the threads and able to secure the mirror with 10-32 screws. at any rate if the 10-32 screws are correct why would they ever include sheet metal screws to attach??? really good way to destroy the threads of the
