the floor pans in my bn6 are in very good condition with the exception of numerous drilled holes...very small ones for screws up to probably 7/16s. some are factory but several are by years of previous ownership and who knows what! is there any alternative to welding that you might suggest..... a sort of permanent bandaid if you will. of course the very small ones can be quickly closed but the larger ones pose a larger problem...at least for me! thanks in advance for suggestions.

Use tape N JB Weld to fill the void?

I use JB weld for that very purpose. Put masking tape underneath the hole, dab a little JB weld on the hole, let it sit and flow out. Wet your finger with water and then smooth out. Use the original formula JB, it has more strenght.

You can use fiberglass cloth and gel coat to fix the larger holes, brush the gel coat smooth so it feathers into the floor surface for a seamless look and paint. If done right you won't even detect a fix.

thanks for the various and very good ideas...

Jb weld and small fender washers and a rivet to hold them. It will be low profile with a rivet instead of a bolt. You can find a 3/4 inch washer with an 1/8 inch hole and use an appropriate rivet. Coat the washer on one side of the hole with jb weld and do the same to another washer on the other side of the hole. The rivet will draw them together and the jb weld will seal it.
