Probably most of the frequent contributors are aware of this site, but I just recently discovered it myself. There's a lot of Healeys to be seen here at

I am new to the Healy world. I just bought a 1961 Austin Healey 3000 Mark II. It is configured with a side shifter and tri carbs. I am not certain if this a correct presentation for a 1961 MK II, it's Car # H-BT7-L/15367, with an Engine Number of 29E-RU-H/1695. Does this sound right?

Yes it does sound about spot on for that model car.
OF course we have some other Healey owners here that can tell even more about your car.---Keoke

My # is 15808 and was one of the last 100 before going straight shift. Change was 15880. Your car should have the double bend gear shift, which was a change during the MKII run. The HS4 is your carburetor number and it has a 1.5 inch port, versus the HS6 which has a 1.75 port. But we have 3 to their 2. The HD8 (MKIII) has 2" throat and can suck more air than all stock combinations.

Post some pictures when you get a chance.
