Healey courtesy light...another bright idea

Hey, welcome Steve! Hope you get some cool ideas here. Of course, not all of us are as crazy about tricking out our cars as others - but I think it's safe to say every Healey is appreciated here. Yep, you have come to the right place

Roger:

Could that controller be used with the existing dome light in my MGC GT?

Have been intending to add lights in the footwells to augment the rather weak and poorly placed factory dome light and would like to have a controler that would keep them on for a minute or so after the doors are closed.

I intend to keep it all "factory" and use extra license plate lights mounted in the under-dash finisher panels and wired through the original door switches, but the fade out controller would be a nice touch.

Now that someone mentioned it, I remember adding an original license plate light in the boot of one of the BJ8s many years ago. Might have been the former girlfreind's car or her brother's. Or my long lost BJ8 Phase I.

darn, I miss that car!

Roger, not to add anymore to an already lengthy post, I too tapped off the solenoid for my Low beam/High beam relays, works great so far.
