What are some good healey books, for detailed information about the company and good photographs? I recall reading about a really good healey coffee table book, that was said to have EXCELLENT photography, which I'd like to buy, but I can't think of what it was called. Anybody know?
 
I found the book I was thinking of, called, "The Healey Book." I think I'm gonna order it, even though it's $70 from Moss. This is what Moss said about it:

"If you like cars, you'll love this book. If you like Healeys you simply must have a copy.. The Healey Book is a comprehensive history of every car and boat created by Donald and Geoff Healey between 1946 & 1978. The format is large (30x30cm or 12 x12 inches), and it is lavishly illustrated with 1100 beautiful photographs, archive images, period brochures, and contemporary advertisements. It's a great book and I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to learn more about Healey history ... not just Austin-Healey. You can find it for much less if you search around a bit.

Still think this book is one of th best and I refer to it more than any other Healey book I have. Not a coffee table picture book but loaded with good information if you plan to buy one. Amazon has a good price.

Webb: Give www.half.com a try before you buy the book or any of them mentioned here. I also liked "Austin Healey" by Geoffrey Healey, but this is older and may be hard to find by now. Try it and see, though. Also good is "My World of Cars" by Donald Healey, but it is another hard one to locate. AL Bradley
 
If you go back and do a search for Healey books you should be able to come up with some titles. A few months back I compiled a list of about 85% of the books written about Healeys and posted it.

Thanks for the tip. Never heard of "half" before.

Healey History is on the way...
 
I'm surprised that no one mentioned the 'Original Austin Healey' by A. D. Clausager. It seems to have a lot of info. and pictures. The one I really like is 'Healeys And Austin Healeys' by Browning and Needham, 1970 and 1973. This book gives all the records and race results for Works and non-Works cars and information on the history, specifications and tuning of these cars.
