blast you for asking a dumb question. Not that I would ever ask a dumb question !!!!

The only dumb question is the one that goes unasked.

I removed the spark plugs, soaked the cylinders for a week and turned over the engine today almost effortlessly. I managed to get the carb's off and started to clean/rebuild. Next step to get 12 volts to the coil, hook up a temporary fuel supply and try to get it to fire.

I'd probably get into the distributor, and clean the rotor, inside of the cap and points. Maybe change the oil and filter?
