Healey and Porsche "barn finds" previous posting

There was a posting about a yellow Healy and a white Porsche (I couldn't find it) earlier. In the July 2008 Classic Motorsports magazine there is a pic of the Porsche on pg. 12. We saw it HERE first!

The healey is mine (and dad's), the 356 is my friend john. I found out about the healey through him, I'd always wanted a big healey, and have one in the garage. i'm the mechanic, dad's the money man. we'll hope to enter it in carolina trophy or some such rally someday.

the pelican forum is where we both update, and hope to reunite the cars someday.

The healey is a '57 longbridge 100-6, primrose yellow, black hardtop. it's got a few dash plaques and badges from the late 50's and early 60's scca events. it was rallied, and possibly raced once. the soft top and bows are not with the car. the lucas lights are gone, replaced with marchals. There's aftermarket seatbelts, and a motorola AM radio.

it sat for 40 years. I don't know why. It has coughed over on starting fluid. I'll have time on sunday (weather permitting) to put the fuel tank back in, and try and fire it. it builds oil pressure on cranking.

That is just a cool story! I hoped and it seems like the owner of the Porsche, John, is going to keep the car pretty much as he found it? That's what I'd do!

yep, he had a little touch up work done, but it qualifies in concours events in the survivor class.

mine, well...it's cracked and crazed and has a bunch of surface rust.
