Healey 100 Aluminum Head

Does anyone have experience with the new aluminum heads that are available for the 100/4? I know they are expensive ($3500 comes to mind), are they well made? Are they any better than the CI head? Do they look the same as the cast iron heads? Are they worth the money? etc....

Thanks for your feedback on this.

I've had a DW AL head on my car for about 7 years. I put it on after the iron one cracked when I was about 1000 miles from home--I managed to make a repair and get back but crack tests showed that the head was pretty much shot.

I can't tell you "if they are worth it"--to me I had no option but if your current head is okay and you are not enticed by the promise of better performance (I have the "fast street head and matching tubular headers) and you can live with the fact that many 100 heads eventually crack then keep the one you have until you are forced to do something.
