I'm doing routine pre-road trip servicing on my BJ8. A while ago I caught a technical flyer from Moss (IIRC) mentioning a newly reproduced oil pressure gauge flex line. I ordered one since AFAIK I was still running the original line. When I pulled the old one and bent it I could hear and feel it cracking--it was completely brittle and may have been leaking a little (hard to tell as there's oil from other sources on the bottom end). My BJ8 was built in November of 1966 so it's one of the 'newer' Big Healeys.
If you haven't replaced your flex line I recommend doing so. The new Moss part is smaller diameter flex line but it's teflon lined and the fittings fit up fine.
