As I mentioned in a previous thread, my data center where I host my servers has just hit me with a 30% price increase per month, which is not trivial (at least not for me). As a result, I am actively researching alternative locations for hosting my servers.

The reason I'm telling you this is to give you a heads up that the BCF (and any web sits hosted on my servers) may experience some downtime when I migrate everything to another location. Obviously, I will try to do this as seamlessly and with as little down time as possible, but some disruption of service is likely in the next few weeks.

I will keep you all posted on the status of things and try to give some advanced warning of when the migration will take place.

Heads UP!!! Hallelujiah!!! You don't know what the nervous, emotional feeling that runs over me when I see "WEBSITE NOT AVAILABLE" when I come here.

That is GREAT news, Basil!! I can only echo Tony's angst ( :cryin: )and wish you good hunting. A little down-time is soooo much easier to handle than the alternative!! :thankyousign:

I think I may have found a potential solution, and if so it could mean an overall performance improvement. Film at 11.

Me too! Almost had an emotional breakdown with "The Pub" being off-line for a short while. I especially like the pub as it seems a place for all us lbc'ers to congregate. I check out Healey and Jag and Pub. Not a snob but it's all I know about and then that's barely.

I don't want to be paranoid, but all the threads tonight loaded in milliseconds, until I tried to open this one...Generated in 22.835 seconds in which 22.804 seconds were spent on a total of 14 queries. Zlib compression enabled.
Form your own conclusions.

Someone might have been doing a massive search which hogged all the database resources.

Good luck with the researching and server move, Basil.

I wonder how many other sites are dumping that company. Well, I wish there was somthing I could do to assist in this move. I'm sure I woulden't be looking forward to all that work. Thanks for all your efforts Basil. We don't mind the "dust" from the move. it'll settle.
