I need to remove my headrests but I can't seem to budge them no matter how hard I pull up on them. Whats the secret to pulling these things out ?
Don
Oh yea, car is 79 Midget

Put the top down.
Stand on the seat or rocker and tunnel.
Grab the headrest with both hands and pull up real hard.
Watch your chin.
There is a little tab down there that usually rusts up making it tough to pull off.

Step #4 is kinda important, too... and mebbe be prepared to NOT go bass-ackwards: The windshield top edge is HIGHLY unforgiving on the lower back.

Don't ask.... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Push down real hard first. You can free up the rust which will allow the up to be easier.

You can also trickle PM Blaster down the back side of the headrest post...it'll get into the rust in the tab & help break it loose
