I may get the seat apart today and see what's up with the headrest. What I was putting on are slip on seat covers that are fitted and look as though they have been upholstered but cost much less and look really nice. This was my option so as not to get involved in tearing things down...and yet here we are.
I am thinking I will just slit the vinyl around the edge of the back of the seat enough to be able to take the cardboard stiffener off...is that possible or do I need to go all the way around? And how does the stiffener attach? I'm looking for the least invasive thing to do short of taking the seat out.
Any advice is appreciated before I go tearing into things.
See if you can undo the clips on the bottom of the seat back & reach up inside to where the little 'tangs' for the headrest are...try not to slit the vinyl if possible.
