Okay, I pulled the Cowl off today and I checked the wire harness's. No melted wires as far as I could see in the harness. But I did find the high beam wire burned at the signal. Still not sure if that is why the lights wont turn off? But that accounts for the smoke coming out of the steering column during the short.
Could that affect the light switch to any extent?
And no, I didnt pull the wire harness covers back any farther than what I could get to. By the way, the wire is the Blue/White coming in.
While I have the cowl off, what can I do to fix the signal cancel on one side. It seems to work if I push the lever down just a tad. It doesnt cancel on one side only.
