Leaving Friday morning,heading to Chattanooga,
then over to Nashville. We'll be there a week.
Are there any interesting roads,out-of-the-way
sights, etc.,that would be worth the time? We'll be renting a
bigger car.

Plenty to see. What are your interests? The drive from Chattanooga to Nashville is kinda bland, but lots of side trips, depending on what you want to see.

Weather's been an absolute bear the last few days, but hopefully will clear out by the weekend.

While in Nashville, check out the Lane Motor Museum:

Great stuff you won't see most anywhere else!

Just south of Nashville is Lynchburg. If you are unfamiliar with or not heard of Lynchburg, TN, just sit back and sip a little bit of Jack Daniels and maybe it will come to you…

Just don't expect to sip any of that whiskey while in Lynchburg. Dry county, or at least it used to be. Nice little tour and gift shop though.

Drove through Ringgold,Georgia on the freeway today - major damage
to the business district. There are houses with trees on them. Not good.
