I put the radiator in and tested all that and now it is time to finish with the fuel system. I got all the parts but got to go out of town for a week. Going to Dayton for a week to a robot school. Anybody live near that area want to get together for a beer or something and talk spridgets?

Dayton British car show is Aug 2nd ... I think.

I'm in Beavercreek out by Wright Pat AFB in Dayton. Planning on trying to get Bugsy to Dayton British Car Days next Saturday. Several of us are here in Dayton or real close by.
 
Jim, I do not think I've ever seen you at the Dayton show...I'm beginning to wonder if Bugsy exists. :wink:

I probably won't make the Dayton show this year. :frown:
 
I'll be darned, Beavercreak. The wife has lots of ancestors in the cementary there from the early 1800s. About the time of the indian wars.
 
Trevor, I'll be there. I went last years but Bugsy stayed in the parking lot. Bugsy got the latches installed so the forward tilting bonnet won't fly off. It's ugly in rusty primer and bondo but at least he can now be driven. BRG and Primer, h'mm come to think of it that's the way he came home 8 years ago. Gotta get turn signals and lights installed and wiring harness made up. Or if nothing else fill up some empty holes in the bonnet. Choke cable gets installed tomorrow night. There are a few old cemetaries around here. One not two blocks away that is ancient.
 
Unfortunately, I wont be able to make it to the car show (it's only a mile from my house too!), but the alternative is not bad... I am going TDY to San Diego for a week, leaving the morning of the 2nd.

No hooters any more. It is now a fondeau shop. Other places though. I will look around tomorrow, already dark now.

I don't know Jack, its the first hooters that I ever heard of closing down. I don't know why guys round here would prefer hot cheese to hooters, but I don't know if I would let one ride in the midget with me if he didn't like that :wink:

Haven't heard from you since you arrived in Dayton. You must be busy. Been buried with work last night until 3:00 AM and tonight probably going to midnight or later. Got committments with "better half" on Wed and Thursday night I'm not going to be able to make a get together. Not sure if anyone else is available.

Hey we will be at El Meson in West Carrolton, about 2-3 miles from your Hotel, Wed night. Will be in the bar. 7:00-9:00 Salsa Dancing and GREAT Columbian Food. Rated in Top 10 Dayton/Cincinnati Resturaunts. A neat place Colleen and I go to most Wednesday nights. The Mojitos are fabulous.

Since you are driving, think about staying over and heading back Saturday after lunch. Show will be well attended about 250 LBC's, in the shade, under the trees. Right across the street in Eastwood Park by Air Force Museum. A great show and folks show up early to attend the gathering.

I wish I could but I got a coworker with me, so we will be leaving out Friday afternoon. Been busy with classes and all, not as much free time as I had thought. I can't dance, I got bad knees. The guy I am with wants to check out a place called, Cheeks :wink: but I will see if I can make it over there tomorrow night.
 
Hey, just checked the map. It is only 1 mile from where I am attending a class. I think I can find that place no sweat. I don't know if I can talk my co worker to coming along or not. How fancy is the place? I mean just to get into the bar and have a few drinks do you need reservations or fancy attire? All I brought was jeans and polo type shirts.
 
Kim, You can't touch the girls at Cheeks. Will be a whole lot more expensive than dinner at El Meson. Hope to meet up with you.
