Who makes a quality Header for a 3000 ? Do you have a picture of it ?

This is Al Kirk's header design (sold by Sports & Classic's, among others, for a few decades now).

Hi Randy,
What size are those collectors? 2 ½” ? They look huge!

Yes, 2-1/2".

Randy
Is this Kirk's racing that advertises in the Classic Motorsports? I called them last year and they said they have had problem fitting the headers and needed to find a car to refit. Have you had yours a long time? I have been trying to find some made in the US also.

I assume that shipping from the UK would be expensive.

Yes, he's in some suburb outside B'ham, Alabama (Hoover?). Mine might be somewhere <10 yrs old (been in Toledo 5+ and I replaced them a few years before I left Louisiana). I've rarely seen a set of headers that fit perfect; seems you always need to tweak something /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hammer.gif

I have a buddy with a couple Healeys in B'ham (Hoover, specifically), but he doesn't come around here much anymore...

B'ham in the 60s and 70s was a hot bed of Healeys. Was at the time a shop/store that built race engines and sold race parts even.

Was the most intresting A' engine in their fromt window, touted as a stage 3.
