This B I'm beatin' on for a friend has a set of steel tube headers on it. A '76 car, DGV carb, Canon intake. The #4 downpipe is "pinholed" from rust, the rest can't be far behind. Has anyone got a steel tube header or a good old style iron one they'd wanna sell? We're pinchin' pennies here (or he'd-a found somebody besides ME to do the work! :smirk: ) but this needs doin': Don't wanna see the lad get gassed on his first LBC road trip.

Doc -

I may still have the manifold from the '73 - will check later today.

Thanks Mickey!

Doc - think I have an old steel header.

OOohhh!! That'd solve a dilemma. PM me with th' details, Tony? And THANK YOU!

We still may want to go with cast iron but it would be "easier" for me to fit another header up.

I can't be the only one that caught this, just cut off #4 tube Doc you won't need for the MGB

April Fools right back at cha

Geez... yer such a stickler fer DETAILS, Hap.

I guess I shoulda said "th' ~rear~ downtube" has a pinhole in it. Or "the third" pipe... sheesh. :jester:

I kinda had a vision of the racing Mini 1275's back-when just now: Two honkin' great 45 DCOE's strapped to it, only the center two throats did anything. Half of each carb was "excess weight"!!
