Header coatings

Interesting post. In my case though I'm not racing and the reduced engine bay heat keeps the fuel from percolating in traffic and at stops and the alternator/starter from frying etc.
I've used header tape for years and not noticed any loss of efficiency (thru the seat of pants test only) and will opt for a header coating next the bugger is off.
I consider it a fair tradeoff.
