Head Torque Questions for 1275

Just read the excellent answers to head/rocker torque questions for 948. Are there many differences for a 1275, especially for a retorque?

Pretty much just the torque values. Follow the manual's pattern. I usually omit the retorque on the rocker assembly. Just don't see the need. I just do the 3/8" studs. Make sure to back off 1/8 to 1/4 turn and make a smooth steady pull. Then pull it down again just to make sure. Make sure the pressure is off the coolant system by venting the radiator cap. This ensures no pressure from the coolant system trying to push past the section of the head gasket you are re-torquing.
