Real nice people at matthews, going to send me another head and take back the other one and pay for all the shipping. But most of all thanks to all the people on the forum for seeing that their really was a problem and what the best solution to it was.

So many vendors take advantage of us because of our affliction.
Example.....
Carrillo, Moldex, Venolia.
And yet they sell rods, cranks & pistons for 350s at 1/3rd the price.
Retooling my arse.....(It's all mechanized now days)

Matthews has been in business longer than most of us have even liked British cars, they listed tons of stuff on Ebay, easy enough to mis-list a head with as much as they have going on. I'm building am MGB motor right now with a crankshaft I bought directly from Matthews, not on Ebay.
Matthews are good people who sell engine cores for a reasonable price, I use them, just like I do Tony.
