Mike you said you have some spares of those? any interest in selling one??

mark

Not bad at all.

I have two, but they won't be "spares" if I get rid of them, will they /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif ! I would be willing to give one up (and keep one spare!). They are not in perfect cosmetic shape (some chrome pitting and a couple of scuffs) which is why they came off the Harleys in the first place, but those bits go well under the car! I have a few "biker" friends and will scout around for extras if anyone wants. Those guys always like to "upgrade" to zoomier stuff, and if their "discards" are up for grabs I am not to shy to ask for them!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif

PS: Keep in mind that ID on the inlet is 1 3/4" !!
The "spare" pictured below is actually in better shape than the one on my car! The HD clamps are kinda nice too!

Looks great! Thanks Mike.

I ended up finding one locally for $9. Hard to beat that and you can have a spare in case some gremlins pop up.

For anyone looking for a HD muffler, check craigslist or ebay and sort by distance from your zip code. There were several near me (Denver).

Once I get it on, I'll post some pics and sound files. Hopefully it won't be a pain to find an exhaust reducer.

If all else fails, I'll see if an exhaust shop can fabricate an 1 3/4" pipe from manifold back, using mine as a template. Has anyone done this? Was it successful? Rough cost?

Brian

Looks good, should keep that bumperette nice and clean.

I fabbed up my own exhaust from 2 inch pipe using my original as a template... no biggie.

I have a header on mine, and just purchased a 1 3/4" straight pipe from the local muffler shop which fit the muffler perfectly and used an adapter (from the local parts house) at the header end. Quick and easy! Brian, that's what I was trying to convey, they are easy to find and usually quite inexpensive as the HD guys like to take those stock units off and replace them with "fancier" ones! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif
