5 wires marked 1 through 5

1 grn / red stripe
2 grn / wht
3 lt grn / brn
4 grn
5 grn w/ 1/4 inch wide blk ring close to the billet

any clue what wire goes to what spade and which way is up for insatalation?

thanks bob

Grn / red goes to the left turn bulbs and indicator
Grn / wht goes to the right turn bulbs and indicator
Lt grn / brn is from the flasher unit
The two greens are battery power for the turn signal flasher unit, which is turned off when the hazzard is turned on. Therefore the supply wire goes through the hazzard switch.
Generally, as such:

gw gr
lgn o
o o
g g

But that doesn't seem to match your switch.
Time for an ohmmeter to see what connects to what, when the switch is in both positions.
