3 hours of work and they still don't fit right. After market bumper and bumperetes, Two old bumper brackets, a front apron that required two weeks of taking dents out of the metal. What fun. Hey Pat, your turn soon. I have figured out how to modify the brackets so everything will fit. I was having problems keeping the bumper level, the bumperetes vertical, and the vertical lines matching the grill.
We will see how tomorrows work makes progress.

Are the aftermarket bumpers and brackets that bad? I can get them on in about 15 minutes. But I have had some practice.

Bumpers take a lot of small taps through the years that gradually reshape all the parts at the same time. Then when one part is replaced, it's always a challenge to get it to fit the old "reshaped" parts. A large hammer and an evening with a six pack usually does the trick.

I am going to make some wedges to tilt the bumper up towards the car. I think that will work!

You da man Jerry!

To get mine together I had to assemble all of the pieces without tightening anything. Once all of the various screws were started, I went back and slowly tightened everything. I am sure that there was something that bent into shape, but it all tightened up nicely and looks right.
