We're at the Hampton in Harahan - for the New Orleans car show. Just killed off a shrimp po-boy, and washed it down with a bit of "grape juice".

Tomorrow, we're visiting family and friends, and will stroll the Quarter.

Well...I had 1/2 of a muffalata for supper last nite.....but it was from a local deli and not from the Napolean House.

If you stroll the Quarter, would you stroll by Old Opera House and see who is playing there Thursday, Friday & Saturday nights? They were supposed to call me back and didn't.

And maybe check if Petunia's on St. Louis is still there.

And maybe have a few beignets for me?

And possibly something to wash it down with (besides chicory)

AND--if you see TR6Bill>>> Isn't he a dentist there somewhere? Do you have his #? Because I lost 3/4 of a filling a couple hours ago and I might be paying the good doctor a visit.

Exactly - that's what I've been saying for the last six years about this show! Finally made it here, and looking forward to the drive tomorrow.

Nice pictures Mickey.The short circuit was all mine. I had to call AAA to get towed home.I stopped for lunch and couldn't get started. Still,it was a nice day.
How was Tony's food today? Did it meet Janel expectations?

BUMMER! Hate when that happens!

Don't know about Tony's - we broke rank in Baton Rouge and went over to Mandeville to visit some old friends and wash down some more crawfish with that nasty amber stuff.

Getting ready to take the TR8 to the car wash to clean the bugs that WERE hoverin' over Lake Pontchartrain last night. Then it's off to City Park for the day.

By the way, the first picture was taken on the levee in front of Oak Alley Plantation.
