I've been a member for a little while now, but am finally introducing myself. I've got a 78 Spitfire 1500 I bought 18 months ago and am rebuilding. It was sold new at San antonio sportscars, but is now in Austin with me. I'm eagerly waiting for my next batch of parts so hopefully it'll get running soon. The ignition switch was totally fried. Probably why it sat in a garage since 1993 with only 57,700 miles on it. Too bad the interior dry rotted and the paint crazed and flaked from a car cover rubbing it. Oh well, 2011 will be the year I paint it.

Thanks, guys! This is my 30th Triumph, so I do have the faith to see it through. I'm pretty excited. Last night I went to a clubmate's house and helped him free up some sticking tie rod ends. Then we worked on his other Spitfire and messed with the carbs. I can't get enough of these cars. Grew up with my dad having some and went from there. He just bought a near perfect TR7 convertible a few weeks ago. It's a genetic disorder...
